Turn in those empty ink cartridges

I've been going through a lot of printer ink recently (working on my next book, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Vision Boards) and noticed I had a few empty cartridges lying around, taking up space. Maybe you do, too. Well, don't let them clutter up your home - turn them into store credit.

I brought mine into Staples and received a credit of $3 each that will arrive as part of my next quarterly check for being a Staples Dividends rewards member. I'm certain that OfficeMax and Office Depot have similar programs for recycling ink cartridges, but I like being able to "bank" my savings until my next check. That means I'll be receiving at least $15 to spend - probably on more ink.
